Folding stools in 3 materials

The theme is more than 3000 years old. The question is: How can you fold a stool in an aesthecticly pleasing way? Poul Kjærholms stool was the inspiration, and the idea was to make it even simpler than his variation of the theme with only one propeller placed in the center.

The material is stainless steel and linen. Karin Carlander has woven the seat.

The second version of the theme is made in oak and nylon strings. The center stringers are curved to make the stool fold absolutely flat.

The third version consists of two sheets of plywood that are cut in such a way that they can pass each other. The seat and two strings close to the floor hold the pieces together. As there is no turning point in the center, the stool can swing from side to side to make one sit dynamicly.
